Christianity Means Suffering-Philippians 1:29.

Philippians 1:29 New International Version 29 For it has been granted to you on behalf of Christ not only to believe in him but also to suffer for him.

Christianity Means Suffering (Philippians 1:29)

Jesus Christ is the most important person we have besides the Almighty God.

Jesus Christ is the most important person we have besides the Almighty God. He brokered a deal with God through His own life and became the sacrificial Lamb of God on our behalf so that we could receive salvation from God through His Life.

After Pentecost, there came a massive persecution of the First Century Church. The Bible unequivocally states that the enemy is trying to mess with man’s mind and those who are unstable, as the Bible says.

The First Century Church was instituted on Pentecost when the Holy Spirit came on the 120 believers in the upper room. The Holy Spirit came upon the believers in the upper room, causing them to speak in different tongues and be carried outside.

The people outside who had gathered in Jerusalem during the festivities of Passover came from different regions. Still, Jews are everywhere, and they had mainly come for this event in Jerusalem because it was customary in those days for them to return.

God instructed an angel to go to people’s houses and strike them with death if they didn’t have blood in their homes. Jesus had already required his disciples to wait in Jerusalem for the Holy Spirit to fall during the Passover feast.

The Holy Spirit came on the day of Pentecost with violent winds, and eventually, tongues of fire settled on their heads. The church experienced persecution, but that was something that the Lord Jesus Christ had already lived through.

Evangelist Peter Gee, the host of The Voice of Many Waters Broadcast, continued teaching that Christianity is a hard road many don’t like to travel. Still, it’s riddled with suffering and landmines. Only a few find this Narrow Path, like some apostles crucified upside down.

I understand that we live in this Tick-Tock generation that doesn’t like to suffer for nothing. Christians in the past understood the true meaning of the scripture about believing in Christ and were prepared for suffering since Jesus suffered for us.

Jesus Christ said in the Book of John, Chapter 16, Verse 33, that you would have tribulation in this world, but be of good cheer because I have overcome the world. If you’re a believer, then you’re indwelled with the peace of God that surpasses all understanding.

Jesus Christ guarantees victory to every participant in this narrow path. He said we should pray constantly, always without ceasing, to have the peace He gives. The Apostles prayed all the time, and the Early Church prayed all the time. Very few churches do fasting, praise, and prayers all the time, but that should be second nature to every believer.

COVID-19 was a massive test for the world and the church; many people perished, died, or died because of COVID-19. However, the suffering that believers experience cannot be prevented.

God spoke to the Apostle Paul and promised him chains and tribulations. Active 1: When the Apostles were whipped for preaching the gospel, they celebrated and thanked God for counting them worthy of suffering, just as their Master, Jesus, suffered.

The Holy Spirit had prepared Paul for his ministry before his missionary journeys. On his way to Damascus, Syria, Jesus converted him to Paul.

The Apostle Paul wrote half of the New Testament in prison, and that’s how we have the majority of the New Testament, all those books Romans, 1st Corinthians, 2 Corinthians, all the way to the Book of Hebrews.

Paul was encouraging the Church of Corinth by mentioning that when you are going through a period of suffering, God Will Comfort you through the Holy Spirit, and when you are comforted, you receive salvation.

God is in charge of your suffering and will allocate blessings to you according to the measure of your suffering. So please resist the urge to scratch your head and believe it was the case.

The Book of Revelation reveals that those who die as martyrs for Christ, those who die as martyrs for the gospel, and those who endure suffering for Christ will have the privilege of ruling and reigning with Him for a thousand years.

God informs His children and servants about what He will do on Earth.

Paul, Silas, and Timothy were preaching to the churches in Thessalonica, and they were boasting to the other churches about the Church of Thessalonica and how they were persevering in their faith through all the persecutions and trials they were enduring.

Paul mentioned that the Church of Thessalonica was unique because the Believers in that church held on to their faith in Christ despite much suffering and persecution. They were enduring, and their attitude towards what they faced is missing today in modern-day Christianity.

Churches split in the West over minor things; if persecution came to the West, there would be a vast Falling Away.

Paul continued his address to the Church of Thessalonica by saying that all this is evidence that God’s judgment is correct and that you will be counted worthy of the Kingdom of God for which you are suffering.

The Apostle Paul said that you have been appointed to suffer and will be counted worthy of the Kingdom of God for which you suffer. This is not being taught out there in churches, and it is the true meaning of Christianity.

Understanding the importance of suffering is missing today. As a result, most Believers are falling away, but this suffering is meant to increase, build, and strengthen our faith in Him. This is the true meaning of suffering.

God will punish those who persecuted Jesus Christ without a cause, just like they persecuted you without a reason.

God will ensure that those who hit you pay for what they brought on you for no reason. God cannot forget your suffering.

God says those who unleash the pain on you—those who bring trouble to you—will pay double because they will be excluded from the Kingdom of God when Jesus returns in His second coming. So, the title of our message today is Christianity, which means suffering.

The fire has died down; it’s time to rekindle that fire; it’s time to rise; it’s time to say to the Lord, We are sorry, we repent before you, and God shall repay trouble for those who bring trouble to us. Come to Christ, don’t go to Hell.

Those from other religions are lost because they try to go around Jesus Christ.

There is only one way to God, through Jesus Christ, and only He can save you. That religion you belong to is wasting your time and will lead you to Hell.

SALVATION PRAYER:

Dear Lord Jesus, I acknowledge that I’m a sinner. I repent before you today and ask you to forgive me all my sins, fill me with your spirit, and write my name in The Book of Life.
